OK, Jim, a reference on the scooter post, please. Tell me you haven't been doing the smokie-smokie like Acidman and forgot to complete your post.

Oh gross!

Jim

Nah, I don't do drugs, unless you count 6 cups of coffee.

A short post like this one, is a good sign that I was later than hell for work.

But still, I'm hoping for a better caption than mine. I know it's out there, one of you just has to step up and post it. *grin*

Kim, you have a point there.

Blog-killer Alert! Go to Electric Venom and read Venomous Kate's battle with an anonymous blog-killer and his/her bag of tricks. It's enough to send chills up and down your blog-spine. She is apparently the victim of a planned DOS attack, very carefully planned to gradually up her bandwidth use to the point where her host cut her off or told her she would have to go into a hugely expensive new plan.

Looking at the average blogger, I think that this DOS plan, modeled on the theory of the gradually heated frog in the boiling pot, will work to drive most bloggers off the internet.

Kate has specific plans to combat these attacks, and it would behoove every blogger to read her antidotes. My guess is that she is the victim of someone in the spamming trade who knows his/her shit, and knows houw to use commercial spyware bots to ping up her hit count past what she can afford. This attacker is likely politically motivated, and probably undetectable since the attacks are actually carried out by the commercial spyware programs.

I place this threat to right wing blogs (I haven't heard of any lefty blogs being similiarly attacked) at Very High to Extreme. React accordingly.

My caption? Ooh that smell!

Ms Anna

Oh, no! I spilled my guts to a stranger! And, I wasn't even drunk!
