If you've never read the essays of Mister Bill Whittle, then you need to set a weekend aside to do so.
Not since Mark Twain has a writer so completely captured the American Spirit in words. Mr. Whittle posts only occassionally, so he's apart from...no, strike that...he's far above the fray of competing blogs who post daily in quest of readership. *grimace*
Here is his newest post. It's not a true essay as such, but more of an introduction to his very important, and much anticipated essays to come.
Per my first sentence, if you've not read Mr. Whittle, let me suggest you start with this essay. Set a good hour aside, but it'll be one of the finest hours of your life.
Trust me on this one. Go. Read. You will never be the same as you were before.
I enjoy Bill Whittle's essays very much. He is truly an excellent author. I was afraid, since it had been so long since the last essay, that he had forgotten us. Now we wait in anticipation for the next essay.
