1911 - 2004
From President Reagan's Farewell Address.
We've done our part. And as I walk off into the city streets, a final word to the men and women of the Reagan revolution, the men and women across America who for 8 years did the work that brought America back. My friends: We did it. We weren't just marking time. We made a difference. We made the city stronger, we made the city freer, and we left her in good hands. All in all, not bad, not bad at all.
And so, goodbye, God bless you, and God bless the United States of America.
Ronald Reagan was a true patriot and a man of honor. His strong moral and ethical values guided his life and political career and he was unwavering in fighting for the freedom for all.
The tide of change that he bestowed upon us all still ripples around the world that he drastically changed forever in a truly amazing way. The old order collapsed and America stood as a beacon of liberty and hope for millions and millions on the face of the Earth.
On a personal level, I immigrated to the United State in 1981 the first year of the Reagan era. Ronald Reagan, the President and the Man instilled in me the determination to work hard to achieve my goals, the courage to speek freely and to hold my ideals high, to seek freedom and justice and maybe above all to continue to add and to build this country we all love so much.
Good bye, Ronnie. I will miss you, America will miss you and the world weill miss you. But you can rest in peace as you did a great job in leaving this world far better than you found you.
May God bless you and God bless America.

Very moving ryan.
However I find it ironic that the man instilled in your the determination to work hard to achieve your goals.
Reagan wasn't known for working hard, remember one of his most famous quotes:
"They say hard work never hurt anyone. I decided not to risk it " - Ronald Regan
Reagan was underestimated alot, perhaps he believed what I beleve - work smarter, not harder.
Josh.

Beautiful job, Jim. On this post, and the subsequent ones since Saturday.
The flag at half-mast is a nice touch.
I am still in awe of the harmony this single man has brought to a nation of individuals who are so often stuck in a state of discord.
