Life is at times, overwhelming.
Such has been the case with me of late. Between being bounced between car problems, a lateral shift from a job I hated to one I can tolerate (within the same group), the death of a car and the quest for new wheels....
....well, it's been a month, maybe more.
Much more to tell, later. All in due time.
And I apologize to you, one and all. I owe a few of you some personal mail. Your inquiries have been kind, touching and have stirred me to write yet again.
On the world and political front; one might despair. But, not really.
You see, regardless of the political climate created by the press, and even in spite of the political failures of the Republican party, the fact remains that it is now known more than ever that the democrats are indeed, the party of surrender, of defeatism and are not equipped to face the real threats of a hostile world.
Sure, they posture and preen about all the failings of this administration.
But the real fact is that what war we wage in secret can not, and ought not yet be trumpted on the headlines of our traitorous press.
I too, hear the jungle telegraph drum the beat of discontent with this administration. But in that same rythym, I also hear the utter rejection of what the left offers in it's stead.
And for what it's worth, that bolsters my hopes.
I think the dems will be a bit disappointed, come November.
Welcome back, Cap't. We were starting to get worried. You haven't lost your "spot on" touch; good on you.

Welcome back! I figured life was interrupting more pleasant activities.
I also agree with you that if there's any way to lose in November the Dems will find it.
Wouldn't it be something if after all this they wind up loosing seats and even more in the minority? Probably not going to happen but it's fun to think about.

Ahhh there you are! Glad to you see you are back. At least you went to a job you can tolerate instead of going from a job you tolerate to the one you hate. I hope it improves for you there. Good luck with the search for new wheels!
